BE DRIN kick-off meeting took place in Budapest on October 28-29.

The event, which was the first official face-to-face meeting among the contributing partners coming from Italy, Romania, Hungary, Kosovo*, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Albania, marked the launch of the project’s first phase. The two-day event was conducted at the headquarters of the National Charity of the Order of Malta, located in Budapest city centre. The representative of the National General Directorate for Disaster Management, Hungary’s Ministry of Interior was present at the event and has formally opened the venue. The project kick-off meeting met the main following aims:

- To agree on the consortium agreement final form;
- To discuss the project’s budget;
- To present and discuss all the specific work packages and activities in detail, setting deadlines to meet;
- To agree on the BE DRIN project logo.

Moreover, focal points have been assigned for activity and stakeholders agreed on the fact that the consortium agreement shall be signed by all partners in the next following weeks.

The event was closed with an informal social dinner where the representatives of each organization shared their past experiences in relevant projects and had the chance to become acquainted with the local cuisine.

We are looking forward to our next meeting!
